Sat 6/29 @ 10AM-2PM

The Rock Hall’s next Community Day is its annual Fam Jam, geared to kids and families, with lots of hands-in activities, in addition to performances, to inspire kids about music.

The Rock Hall’s house band, the Mechanics, will perform sets between 10am and 2pm on the PNC stage, and the Cleveland Public Library will host storytime in the beer garden from 12-12:30pm, followed by music with the Beck Center from 12:30-1pm. The kids from the School of Rock finish up with music from 1-2pm.

There’ll also be activities all around the plaza, provided by the Rock Hall’s various community partners as well as the Rock Hall itself. In addition to Beck Center, School of Rock and the Cleveland Public Library, the Children’s Museum of Cleveland, Hungry for Music, Near West Theatre, the Cleveland Playhouse and the Music Settlement will be sharing information about programs and classes available for kids to get involved with the art. There’ll als be balloons with Flower Clown, Bubbles with Bubble Wanda, make-and-take poster printing with Future Ink Graphics, chalk mural drawing, an instrument petting zoo with Keep Music Alive, and face painting. Of COURSE there’s face painting.

And it’s all free, no registration needed. Just pack up the kids and come on down.
