Cleveland pop-punk band the Spectators describe themselves as “four boys from the East suburbs of Cleveland that enjoy weird accents, cheap food and forgetting songs.”
Hopefully that won’t be forgetting any songs when they headline a show at Mahall’s locker room stage to celebrate the release of their new seven-track album It Is, and That’s All. It’s a follow-up to their The Way Things Ought to Be, released early last year. They’ve been fairly prolific since their debut recording, the three-song EP Safe at Home, releasing a stream of EPs and singles you can sample here, displaying an energetic sound with bite and pensive lyrics that display show a lot of imagination for this well-trod genre.
They’ll be joined by the Grievance Club, Los Ojos, Nick Adkins and Homecoming Queen. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
