Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s monthly house concerts are back in full swing, hosted as always by former CVNP artist in residence, violinist Ed Caner, who plays in Americana band Hey Mavis with his wife Laurie.
For these laidback evenings, Caner draws on his large circle of musician friends to bring in different guests each month. Joining him this month is singer/songwriter/guitarist Kathy Johnson, whose three albums feature the light-hearted and the reflective, originals and much-loved cowboy, folk, country and early 20th century pop tunes. With so much to pull out of her song bag and an adaptable musician like Caner to accompany her, it should be a fun evening.
The concerts take place in a restored bank barn on CVNP’s Hines Hill Campus.Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for conservancy members. You can make an advance reservation here.
