Kiss Me Deadly, consisting of guitarist/vocalist/ songwriter Jen Poland, bassist Evan Lieberman, and drummer Madelyn Hayes, grew out of the Poland Invasion, which Poland started six years ago. They’ve evolved a delicate yet powerful and evocative sound that features keyboards, mandolin, bouzouki, as well as the basic instrumental lineup.
And, with both Poland and Lieberman experienced as filmmakers, the band has created a batch of its own videos, a service they offer to others through their Invasion Films.
Kiss Me Deadly is currently recording its first CD. It will share a track from that CD at a single release party at the Happy Dog. They’ll be sharing the bill with funky soul rockers We the People and Ray Flanagan & the Authorities.
