Indie Rock New Year’s Eve Benefit Bash Back at Ohio City Masonic Temple

Tue 12/31 @ 6pm

The Local Rock New Year’s Eve celebration at Ohio City’s Masonic Temple is back again for the third year, featuring one band that’s played the previous two years (Filmstrip, pictured) and a batch of new ones to check out.

The party, which lasts until 2 am, will also feature Nowhere, the Luckey Ones Family Band, Exploding Lies, Palaces, and Insurance Salesmen (a band, not aggressive peddlers who will buttonhole you at the bar) — quite an assortment of local indie rockers. DJ Fred Gunn will spin between band sets to keep the action going.

Admission is $12 in advance, $15 at the door. There’ll be a full cash bar, which promoters promise is “cheap,” free parking, and a champagne toast at midnight.

And like the other shows this group, called local Rock at the Masonic, puts on, this one’s a benefit, with the money going to help local families coping with breast cancer through the Woo Hoo Foundation.
