Creed Bratton has had an odd career, to say the least. He more or less accidentally fell into a gig as singer/guitarist for top 40 group the Grassroots as part of its classic, and most successful, late ’60s lineup.
He then spent three and a half decades pursuing a not-very-successful career as an actor before lucking into a long-running role on popular TV show The Office, where he played a character also named Creed Bratton for six years.
He’s also released some compilations of songs he’s written over the years. Shows like the one he’ll perform at the Kent Stage include songs from his solo albums and the Grass Roots, and amusing stories from his brief success in music, his long years as a struggling actor, and late-breaking success on The Office.
