BorderLight Festival Co-Founder Speaks at This Month’s Greyt Big Talk

Fri 4/21 @ 8:30-10AM

The monthly Greyt Big Talk is a breakfast talk where attendees get to hear from a (usually) local creative or entrepreneurial individual and get inspired.

This month’s speaker is both. Dale Heinen directed plays and was the co-artistic director of a theater in Chicago before heading to Europe from where she directed plays in places such as London, Glasgow, Japan and Brazil. She eventually returned to her native Cleveland in the mid 2010s, to co-found the Borderlight International Theatre + Fringe Festival. It launched in 2019, then went virtual, returned live last year and will be entirely a fringe festival in this year’s iteration August 3-5. As its artistic and executive director she helped give it a flexibility that allowed it to survive the pandemic.

Each Greyt Big Talk also offers a breakfast and coffee, live music performance, original art by area designers and brief community pitches about projects people are working on.
