Sun 9/11 @ 8PM
With the 6th annual Ohio Burlesque Fest taking place in August, more and more Clevelanders are getting addicted to this art form. Need a fix? Toxic Burlesque is holding one of its periodic showcases at Brothers Lounge on the west side. This 4th anniversary show will feature some familiar faces from the burlesque scene around town including Ava Adore, Rubi-Nesque (pictured) and Rubina Mamelons, along with Shrimp Cocktail, Carmen M’Knoxide, Sylvette and Ginger Rockwood. And yes, the routines are usually as creative as the names.
Champagne Charlie hosts and Dancerella Heat is the stage kitten — the one who picks up the discarded clothing and sets up the stage for the next act. Sponsors include Visual Grammar, the Mission Boutique, the Dean Rufus House of Fun, the American Tattoo Company, and Stars and Dots, who will all undoubtedly have fun things you can buy during intermission. It’s 21 and over. Admission is $10.
