Rock Hall’s Live & Local Series Launches with Maura Rogers & the Bellows and Charity Evonna

Thu 7/11 @ 8PM

The Rock Hall’s summer schedule is packed with music, both ticketed concerts by national-level acts and free concerts by some really topnotch local talent. Its Live & Local concert series on the plaza kicks off this week with two acts it’s well worth going out of your way to hear.

Maura Rogers & the Bellows have been around for a decade, adding new music to their repertoire and new fans to their following with their tuneful, heartful rock with Americana roots. Rogers’ strong, sincere vocalist lead a band with features distinctive instrumentation, with her longtime sidekick Meredith Pangrace providing. Harmonies and accordion, bassist Quinn Stefanos and drummer Jeff Babinski helping to thicken the vocal harmonies, and Cleveland music scene veteran Al Moses on lead guitar.

We caught Charity Evonna for the first time at the recent Juneteenth Freedom Fest downtown, and this young woman’s powerful pipes and poised stage presence electrified everyone within hearing. Her neo-soul vocals share songs that dig deep and offer her messages about taking care of yourself and fighting to be your best self no matter what life throws at you.

The show is fee; register to attend here.
