Cleveland’s No Exit New Music ensemble is back with another online evening of new sounds and more world premieres.
The premieres include new work by four Cleveland-area composers — Adonai Henderson, Zeke Paulowskim, Nicholas Underwood and Luke Rinderknecht, the latter two part of the No Exit ensemble. It will also feature the 2007 Amputate II for alto flute and electronics, composed by No Exit’s artistic director Timothy Breyer.
“We love doing these concerts that celebrate some of the extraordinary musical voices that reside in Northeast Ohio,” says Breyer. “There are some great Cleveland area composers who are really doing their own thing, thinking outside the box and writing music that is singular, unique and really worthwhile. We always like presenting new music from young composers such as Zeke Paulowski and Adonai Henderson, both of whom have written us a fantastic piece. It’s also pretty cool to be doing several works created by members of No Exit. Nick Underhill wrote a piece for piano and electronics and our percussionist Luke Rinderknecht composed a work that explores the sonic world of resonance. I also have an electro-acoustic piece on the program.”
