This month at the monthly Walk All Over Waterloo art walk, Praxis Fiber Art’s gallery is opening a new show called Little Treasures. In this lighthearted show, a contrast to so many art shows burdened with multiple serious meanings, artists Josie Krampitz and Nate Rouse focus on the meanings of wallpaper: what’s it’s been in the past and what it could become in the future, which they say fulfills their need for “new kitsch.” The show will be on view through December 15.
At Waterloo Arts, you can check out Now Voyager by Cleveland photographer/mixed media artist Hadley K. Conner and Sad Little Problem featuring glass sculptures and assemblages by Philadelphia-based Paige L. Morris in the main gallery, and Megan Dardis’ Stay Composed in the café. Although it looks like another lovely fall day Friday, Waterloo Makes Music is coming indoors from its summer home on the outdoor Tower Stage. Two countrified bands, the honky-tonk quartet Country Honk and the much larger hybrid, Americana-style band Cowboy Princess Brigade, will offer free music at the Treelawn from 7-9pm.
