Former WMMS Morning Team Jeff & Flash Tell the Story of Their 20-Year Market Dominance at Music Box

Thu 7/11 @ 7PM

The next Cleveland Stories program at the Music Box Supper Club is called “Jeff & Flash Rule the World,” and indeed, at one time it seemed as if the WMMS-FM morning duo did rule most of northeast Ohio, at least the part of it listening to radio before 10am.

Starting in the mid 1970s, as WMMS was beginning its market dominance, the duo of Jeff Kinzbach and Ed “Flash” Ferenc headed up a revolving team of characters who became legendary in the market on The Buzzard Morning Zoo. Their program aired for more than 20 years and during most of that time, their ratings crushed the competition. Recently, Jeff and his wife Patti have been sharing their travels across in the country in an RV while Flash founded a public relations company and has hosted a pro-labor radio broadcast/podcast for more than 25 years.

Doors open at 5pm for dinner; the program starts at 7. There’s no cover charge, but you should make a reservation, especially if you’re coming for dinner.
