Six years ago, the Cleveland Print Room opened in the Artcraft Building in the Superior Arts District, becoming one of a number of artist workspace/classroom/studio/gallery spaces in the area dedicated to supporting a particular artistic practice. In this case, the medium was photography. CPR maintains a community darkroom where members can do traditional film-based work; holds workshops and classes for all ages; sponsors youth programs; and has a full schedule of exhibits in its gallery.
Its annual fundraiser is as unpretentious, informal and welcoming as the space itself. Bagels & Brews takes place at Mahall’s 20 Lanes in Lakewood, where bagels from Cleveland Bagel Company and coffee form the Root Cafe will be served and a cash bar will be available. There’ll be silent auctions and 50/50 raffles to raise money for CPR as well.
Tickets are $25; patron tickets, which include a CPR mug, are $50.
