Classical guitarist Jason Vieaux is well known in this area to fans of this particular form of music. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, he’s taught there for more than 20 years while forging an international reputation through touring and recordings such as Play, which snagged him a Grammy in 2015. He’s a regular performer at the Cleveland International Classical Guitar Festival.
Classical guitar is an intimate, subtle form of music, and Vieaux’s next solo concert is in the perfect setting: Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s bucolic Happy Days Lodge. There he’ll perform pieces by J.S. Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Fernando Sor, Isaac Albéniz, Mauro (not Rudy) Giuliani and others.
Tickets are $21 general admission, $17 for CVNP Conservancy members, $10 for students.
