Sun 12/11 @ 3:30PM

Fri 12/16 @ 7:30PM

ChamberFest Cleveland, founded by retired Cleveland Orchestra clarinetist Franklin Cohen and his daughter Diana, takes place in the early summer, spread out over various non-traditional venues and more than a week.

But it’s sending out signals that it may be looking to promote events from time to time off season, much as the Cleveland international Film Festival does. This week it’s offering its first Winter Mini Festival, featuring pianist Roman Rabinovich, who performed at last summer’s festival.

He’s doing three concerts here this week dedicated to Franz Josef Haydn’s solo sonatas. He’s currently attempting to play all 45 and is about halfway through; he’ll perform 15 of them at ChamberFest Cleveland’s winter series.

Each concert takes place in a different venue. The Tue 12/13 one at Cohen’s home is sold out, but you can still snag tickets to the Sun 12/11 concert at the Music Settlement and the Fri 12/16 event at Dunham Tavern Museum. Each concert includes light refreshments.

Tickets for each are $35 general admission, $25 for young professionals ages 25 to 35, $12 for students, and $5 for children 12 and under. Call 216-471-8887 or go to chamberfestcleveland.com.
