Now that Thanksgiving has passed and a Santa is preparing to bring us a huge surge of COVID-19 for Christmas, even the handful of Christmas concerts and productions that were planning to be love are going digital.
Of course the Hudson Library & Historical Society’s music series has widely been digital since the start of the pandemic. And they know we need a dose of holiday cheer right now. So they’re presenting the BlueWater String Quartet in a holiday Zoom concert. Violinists Rachel Englander and Nancy Patterson, violist Anna Gerber, and cellist Linda Atherton, who are all members of the Cleveland’s BlueWater Chamber Orchestra, will play a program of holiday-associated music including pop tunes like “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” carols like ‘Mary, Did You Know?” and selections from that holiday perennial, The Nutcracker.
The concert is free. it will be streamed on the library’s YouTube page and Facebook page.
