NOW we’re finally getting some below-freezing temperatures! So it’s time to gather around the fireside.

You can do that at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes in Family Fireside night. There’ll be interactive storytelling about the Rescue of Andromeda, and other activities inside and (for the tough and brave) out, including star-gazing and crafts with an astronomy theme. Hot chocolate and snacks are on the schedule too.

It’s $5 per person, or $25 for a family up to six people.
