This past June and July, the Cleveland Public Library, along with Literary Cleveland, offered free writing workshops at its branches across the city. (They were ultimately held by phone and online). The goal was to encourage people of all levels of writing skill to share their thoughts about their communities is stories, essays and poems. The program was dubbed Neighborhood Voices; the capstone project was an anthology collecting all the work that resulted.
Now that anthology is finished and it will be shared with the public at a virtual launch party this weekend. It features more than 80 pieces. All participants in the program will be recognized at the event. If you’d like to attend, register for the event here.
