Les Delices Shares Medieval & Renaissance Springtime Music in Free Library Programs

Sat 3/4 @ 2PM

Sun 3/5 @ 2PM

This weekend, Cleveland baroque chamber ensemble Les Delices brings its music out into the community at a couple of public libraries.

It will do a program called “The Leaves Be Green: Springtime in England” at the Cleveland Public Library’s downtown branch on Saturday and the Akron Public Library downtown on Sunday. It will feature upbeat music from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, including songs by William Byrd, Robert Fayrfax and Henry VIII about rejoicing in the unfolding of spring. And it will introduce the audience to such period instruments as the lute, harp, recorder and medieval fiddle.

Both programs are free and intended to make the music accessible to all types of audience members.
