Not too long ago, a lively discussion on contemporary poetry took place on Facebook, as commenters shared their opinions on poetics, politics, race and technology.
This discussion will be continued offline in a panel called “Poetry in the Time of Facebook,” taking place at Guilford Parlor at Case Western Reserve. Cleveland poet David Lucas moderates what is sure to be a lively back-and-forth between outspoken poet/journalist/fiction writer and founder of the literary nonprofit Guide to Kulchur RA Washington; poet/critic Joe DeLong who is a lecturer in the CWRU English department; and Caryl Pagel, the author of two collections of poetry, an assistant professor at CSU and the director of the Poetry Center there.
It’s free and open to all.
