New England Singer-Songwriter Heather Maloney Returns to Oberlin’s Riverdog Barn with a New EP

Sat 8/4 @ 7:30PM

Massachusetts-based vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Heather Maloney was a seasoned musician with expansive experience before releasing her debut album in 2013: She had studied opera, sung jazz, experimented with Indian music and even spent nearly three years at a meditation retreat center before breaking into the acoustic singer/songwriter scene in New England to hone her own individual voice.

She’s now got a new, six-song EP, called Just Enough Sun, featuring five of her own songs, along with a cover of Bob Dylan’s “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall.” It was produced by Ryan Hommel who accompanies her in live performance.

The two performed last summer at Oberlin’s Riverdog Barn, a show which the Riverdog Folks say drew their largest crowd of the year. So you might want to make reservations for their return performance.

It’s a $15 donation at the door; $5 for students. You can reserve your spot by calling 440-935-2248 or 440-935-2189 or going to the website.

As always you can bring your own cooler and picnic basket. Gates open at 6.
