In the middle of the summer, berry bushes are loaded with fruit. And currently, it’s peak blackberry season. And The Chef’s Garden in Huron is celebrating on Saturday with its Blackberry Festival.
But blackberries aren’t the only thing you’ll find at its farm market at this time of year, as locally grown fresh produce keeps rolling in, with more and more each week. Browse all the healthy veggies and fruits in the bins at its expansive farm stand, then go outside and enjoy the food trucks and local vendors and tell the kids there’s face painting, so they won’t whine about going! They may even develop at taste for vegetables if you get them as tasty and fresh as they are at The Chef’s Garden. Be sure to take a walk through the flower beds as well.
