Lorain Avenue Debuts Its Monthly Community "Late Nights on Lorain" Event

Fri 7/31 @ 6-9PM

Lorain Road west of West 25th has long been an interesting mix of cool new businesses aimed at an active younger crowd, and old-school businesses and dingy rundown buildings, some of which are now being rehabbed.

Recently more new businesses have been arriving: eateries and bars, boutiques and plants stories, and businesses such as the sprawling vintage/pop culture emporium Paradise Galleria. The stretch of Lorain has been attracting relocated businesses too: Visible Voice Books from Tremont in a hugely expanded space, Hausfrau Records from Gordon Square, Guitar Riot from the Superior Arts District.

With all of that happening, the businesses on Lorain have gotten together for the latest not-exactly-an-artwalk but a night out called Late Nights on Lorain, with the first one taking place this Friday July 3. There’ll be special events and happenings in various businesses, including DJs, sip & shops, and other distinctive happenings. For instance, Paradise Galleria will have Moon Bunny Libations onsite, music by DJ Himikogogo (one of its co-owners) and glamour shots with Party Patty’s Party Packs.

Other participating businesses include Visible Voice Books, Hausfrau Records, Chicken + Whiskey, Imposters Theater, Recreational Pots & Plants, Stir Studio Kitchen, Real Smoq’ed BBQ, Domo Ohio City Sushi, Pore Ceramics, Heart of Gold, Table for Two, Cent’s Pizza, Free Hearts, The Judith and CS Folk.

The event will continue on the last Friday of each month.
