Cottaging gardening may sound too cutesy by far, given that it shares a word with the ultra-twee cottagecore aesthetic. But it’s really just a way of maximizing a very small space, filling it with close, overlapping plantings of herbs and flowers that offer a variety color and scent, along with differing heights and peak seasons. There definitely doesn’t need to be a cottage attached. If symmetrical rows of bedding annuals aren’t your thing, cottage gardening could be the answer.
