Learn How to Care for the Environment at Rocky River Earthfest

Sat 5/9 @ 10AM-4PM

Just because Earth Day was last month, which was also Earth Month, that doesn’t mean we should stop thinking about the environment. In fact, we should be thinking all the time about treating our Earth with respect and care.

If you agree with that, stop over at the 4th Annual Earthfest, taking place at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church in Rocky River. All are welcome — it’s family-friendly, and you will be doing the environment a service to get your kids thinking about what they can do to live more sustainably. (Most kids really get it!)

The festival will feature tables from organizations, businesses and agencies who are working on instituting Earth-friendly programs and policies. It will also inclue a Native American art show, multiple screenings of the 2023, 30-minute documentary Lead in the Land about how lead poisoning has impacted Cleveland children and special kids’ activities.

It’s free and open to all, but any donations you feel moved to give will benefit future EarthFest events, and Food Strong, a terrific nonprofit working to build a healthier, more sustainable and more accessible food system in Cleveland, in part through its recent acquired urban farm facility at East 67th and Superior Avenue.
