DJ NicNacc’s sets incorporate hip hop, house music, R&B and electronic music, both classic and contemporary tracks, and the Cleveland-based DJ has spun all over the country. She’s one of a number of talented women DJs in this area, in a field that once was dominated entirely by men. She’s standing up against that with the Planet Her 3.0 International Women’s Day event, she’s hosting at the Grog Shop “to honor and uplift women through art and sound,” says the event’s promotion.
The evening will include interactive art installations, live painting, pop-ups, giveaways, live poetry by Favela Baby, and live music by S.Y.S., featuring the trio of DJ Red-I, Sadhu and A.M. the Queen, and Columbus singer/songwriter N’Shai Iman.
