Last year, Darl Schaaf, creator of the Darl Center for the Arts in Slavic Village, hosted the first Wearable Art Show, featuring mostly artists he knew from his longtime residence in Alaska. It included eye-popping ensembles made from wood, acrylic fingernails and other unusual materials.
