No Exit and Friends Perform a Multimedia "Evocation of Our Current Time"

Thu 1/8-Sat 10 @ 7PM

Cleveland’s No Exit New Music specializes in performing avant-garde music mostly from the 21st century (often local or world premieres) as well as that music’s 20th-century influences.

For their next series of concerts, called, appropriately, “An Evocation of Our Current Time,” they’ll by joined by the similarly minded St. Paul, Minnesota, ensemble Zeitgeist, with whom they’ve frequently collaborated in the past, as well as local musicians, drummer Stephen Kluck, trumpet player Scott McGee,  trombonist John Faieta and harpist Stephan Haluska. They’ll perform an almost hour-long “immersive multimedia extravaganza” that will include improvisation, film, environmental manipulation and artificial intelligence, along with “lies, magic, gaslighting and other forms of chicanery.”

The performance will take place at Cleveland’s Trinity Cathedral on Thursday, at SPACES’ gallery on Friday and in the Heights Arts gallery on Saturday. As always, all No Exit concerts are free and open to all.
