Isn’t it weird that the Beatles are still so much part of contemporary music that high school kids are influenced by them? Think how odd it would’ve been if, in 1964, the year they broke in the U.S., radio had still been playing songs from … well, before there WAS radio! Anyway, they are and their influence is in pop music’s DNA.
So you’ll probably see people of all ages if you come down to the Rock Hall for its Beatles Fan Day (and by the way, the Rock Hall is open every day between Christmas and New Year’s so there’s something you can do with the out-of-school kids). You can see an exhibit filled with photos, artifacts and stories about the “Fab Four”, make your own Beatlemania button just like fans did back in the day, listen to live Beatles-influenced music on the PNC stage at 1 and 3pm, play your Beatles favorites with the house band in the Garage and take part in a Rock & Roll Game Show: Beatles edition on the PNC stage at noon. In addition, the hour-long Beatles Anthology: Episode 1 will be screening all day in the Foster Theater, starting at 10:10am.
All activities are free with regular museum admission.
