Sat 9/27

The Mid-Autumn Festival, taking place in an upgraded vacant lot in AsiaTown, started during the pandemic to bring people together outside. This year, it also served as the final event for artist Jordan Wong’s Transformative Arts Fund project For Those Who Call Here Home. The artist provided a freestanding mural, a decorative arch and some painted pingpong tables and seating to make the space an inviting place to hang out even with no special event going on, one that reflects the culture of the neighborhood.

The Mid-Autumn Festival also featured dancers, martial arts, art-making opportunities and booths and displays from organizations such as the Cleveland Public Library, Zygote Press, Rust Belt Riders and the Water Department.
