Goodyear Theater

The Goodyear Theater was built in 1920 for the employees of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, with an auditorium large enough to seat 1686. It’s  part of the larger Goodyear Hall which houses the Ohio Savings Bank and Trust, a gymnasium and other recreational amenities as well as many classrooms and offices.

Goodyear Theater underwent significant renovation in 2017, during the East End redevelopment project, to massively improve structural stability and restore this piece of Akron history to its former glory.
