The Cleveland Photo Fest, which runs for a month each September, mounting multiple shows during that time, also hosts other activities and shows throughout the year. In the past it’s done several “exchange” shows where it partners with an arts/cultural organization in another city/country to “trade” photos: photographers in Cleveland get to show their work somewhere else and work by photographers from the partner city goes on view in Cleveland.
Previously, they’ve done such exchanges with groups in India and Australia, but now they’re working with an organization closer to home: Pittsburgh’s Ketchup City Creative.
For this show, called Crooked Rivers Connected — Pulse of the City: A Celebration of Neighborhoods and Culture, photographers in each city are invited to submit one or two photos, with 50 chosen to display in each city. The Cleveland images will be on view in Pittsburgh February 2025; the Pittsburgh images will be hung at the Tri-C East Gallery from May 29-July 10, 2025
