Thu 10/10 @ 6:30PM
One of the biggest draws at natural history museums is the dinosaurs, and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History is no different. So the topic of its Science After Hours program this month is “Where Do We Find Dinosaurs in Cleveland.”
The museum’s Associate Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology Dr. Caitlin Colleary will talk about the dinosaurs in the museum’s collection such as Happy the Haplocanthosaurus. She’ll share information about the ecosystems of the Mesozoic Era and why dinosaur fossils aren’t found in northeast Ohio. She’ll also talk about her work in molecular taphonomy (the study of the processes of fossilization) and how it can be used to discover new facts about those ancient eras.
Doors open at 5:30 and the café will be open for food and drink purchases prior to the lecture. Go here for more information and tickets.
