Cleveland’s Contemporary Youth Orchestra, which offers opportunities for talented teen musicians to collaborate with noted contemporary composers as well as pop and rock musicians, is having a slightly different type of benefit event.
It’s a daytime event called Wine Women & Shoes, taking place at the LaSalle Theatre in North Collinwood. Ticket holders can enjoy a sit-down lunch, dessert, a wine tasting and a performance by the CYO’s principal quartet, and the chance to bid on luxury items in silent and live auctions. But the most distinctive thing about it is that guests will be able to shop during the event at a group of pop-up boutiques from stylish local and national businesses.
