Young German Pianist, Newly Arrived in Cleveland, Plays at Lakewood’s St. James Church

Sun 10/6 @ 4PM

Twenty-three-year-old Jakob Aumiller was born in Munich, Germany where he began studying piano at the age of 5. He continued his studies at the Conservatorio di Musica F.A. Bonporti in Trento, Italy from 2019 to 2024, a period when he won prizes at half a dozen competitions, primarily in Europe.

He arrived in Cleveland in August to study for his artist diploma at the Cleveland Institute of Music under Professor Antonio Pompa-Baldi and, of course, he’s looking for opportunities to perform. He’s found one at Lakewood’s St. James Church where he’ll be part of their Key Conversations concert series. There he’ll be performing Beethoven Piano Sonata #30; Rachmaninoff Preludes and Moments Musicaux Selections, and Robert Schumann Carnaval Op 9.

It’s free (although donations are gratefully accepted) and open to all, and there’s a reception with refreshments following the concert.
