For those of you with fond memories of the World Series of Rock Show, which took place at the old Lakefront Municipal Stadium from 1974-1980 or those of you who just heard about them and for some reason thought they sounded fun, the Rock Hall Library and Archives on the Tri-C Metro campus has an exhibit you should see before it closes at the end of August.
It commemorates the 50th anniversary of these shows (Bob Seger, pictured here, played at the final one in 1980.) and includes more than 50 artifacts from the shows, including photos by local photographers such as Anastasia Pantsios, Janet Macoska and Bob Ferrell, as well as artifacts including set lists, reviews and production schedules.
The exhibit has two more open days: Thursday August 22 and Friday August 23. It’s free.
