A lot of free outdoor concert series start this week, among them the Cleveland Metroparks extensive offerings at several different park locations.
First out of the gate are the weekly Wednesday concerts at Huntington Beach, which tend toward more laidback, lower-key music, in keeping with the relaxed setting. The Thor Platter Trio opens the series with singer/songwriter/guitarist Platter’s original music infused with classic country, folk and rock influences. He’ll likely perform a mix of his favorite classics with material from his own repertoire including his 2023 album As Fast As It Goes. Bring the kids to splash around in the water while you loll on the beach with breezes blowing off the lake and enjoy some good Cleveland-created sounds.
