Lori Switaj started Recreational Pots and Plants in Ohio City in 2020, an outgrowth of Duke Farms, a 30-bed community garden she manages with her husband. While she claims to have a green thumb, she gets that not all people do, so she features affordable, easy-to-care-for houseplants and decorative pots and planters to help give your home a little extra “zing.” The plants come from four northeast Ohio nurseries and one in Florida, and her planters include terra cotta and ceramic pottery designed and painted by area artists. Her stock also includes candles, soaps and bath bombs.
