Last week we shared with you the newly announced schedules for two major outdoor summer concert series: Wade Oval Wednesdays and Lakewood’s Front Porch Concerts, which both start in early June. CVNP’s Howe Meadow and Lake View Cemetery had already announced their monthly schedules of concerts.
Now, this week, the Cleveland Metroparks unveiled a ton of new opportunities to hear free live music outdoors at six different locations. There’ll be weekly Wednesday evening concerts at Huntington Beach (more laidback, acoustic music including some original singer/songwriters), weekly Friday concerts at the Emerald Necklace Marina (a mix of music) and weekly Saturday evening concerts at the East 55th Street Marina (cover bands and alas, a few tribute bands). There’s also a series of Thursday Travelling Happy Hour concerts from 4-8pm at three different locations: Merwin’s Wharf, Euclid Beach and the ultra-popular Edgewater Beach concerts where you can see reggae band Shake (pronounced Shaky) Ground on June 27 and Cleveland’s most popular reggae artist Carlos Jones on July 25, which is sure to be packed even on the sprawling beach. Most of the concerts offer food options and recreational activities too.
All concert series start the week of June 12 and run through mid-August. Get a full schedule and more information here.
