Heights Arts is hosting another of their periodic Art Bar evenings at their space in the Cedar-Lee neighborhood.
There you can relax with a cocktail and take in some music and spoken word performance, courtesy of Hot Club of Cleveland and former Cleveland Heights poet laureate Christine Howey. Hot Club, which plays music in the so-called “gypsy jazz” style popularizing in 1930s Paris, features three of this area’s top jazz musicians: William Reed Simon on violin, Jackie Warren on piano and Aidan Plank on bass. And Howey had a yard-long resume as a playwright, poet, theater critic, director and performer.
