CityMusic Cleveland is hitting the road again, with a holiday concert titled “Christmas, Beethoven & Mambo.”
The chamber orchestra’s principal guest conductor Dr. Stefan Willich will conduct the ensemble as it performs Arcangelo Corelli’s Concerto Grosso in G minor, Op. 6, No. 8 aka “Christmas Concerto”; Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4 in E-flat major, K. 495 ; an arrangement of the Mozart Horn Concerto by Joshua Davis & Yuniet Lombida called “Rondo alla Mambo”; and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 in B-flat Major, Op. 60. The Cleveland Orchestra French horn player Hans Clebsch is the soloist on the Horn Concerto.
Performances take place on Thursday December 7 at Fairmount Presbyterian Church; Friday December 8 at Lakewood Congregational Church; Saturday December 9 at Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus in Slavic Village; and Sunday December 10 at St. Noel Church in Willoughby Hills.
As always, City Music Cleveland concerts are all free and open to all. No reservations are necessary
