Summit Artspace Brings Back Akron’s Artists Sunday

Sun 11/26 @ noon-5PM

Ready or not, the holidays are upon us and one of the next events coming up is annual celebration officially titled Artist Sunday. “Akron is home to many talented artists whose work deserves recognition and support, as the arts enrich our lives and enhance the cultural fabric of our community,” says Mayor Daniel Horrigan.

Explore all three floors of Summit Artspace, which will be offering more than 25 local pop-up vendors in tandem with 25 resident artist studios. Reject the Orwellian convenience of Amazon and return to tradition, shoppers are guaranteed to find — not only free parking and admission — but the nostalgic holiday atmosphere that comes with contributing to the local economy.

Enjoy warm drinks courtesy of Bereka Coffee & Kitchen, and hourly performances from Summit Choral Society’s children’s choir, the Metropolitan adult chorus and a special collaborative performance from Hearts For Music at 3:30pm.

For more information on businesses and restaurants open during Artist Sunday go to summitartspace.org/artists-sunday/ or downtownakron.com.
