Coventry Village Street Festival Offers an Afternoon of Food, Fun and Shopping

Sat 9/30 @1-6PM

Yes, Cleveland Heights’ Coventry Village is facing some challenges now, with many empty storefronts. But the Coventry Village Street Festival is a chance to focus on what’s there, not on what’s not there. And what’s there is nearly 50 independent, locally owned businesses.

One of the things that’s there is profusion is restaurants, ranging from the granddaddy, Tommy’s, serving its signature menu for more than 50 years under the same owner, Tommy Fello (he started as a teenager), to long-running favorites such as the Inn on Coventry and Hunan, to newer additions such as Soba Asian Kitchen, Cilantro Taqueria and Macaron Café. It’s Coventry Restaurant Week so they’ll e offering specials.

In addition, the street festival will be hosting food trucks, even though it’s not hard to find food of all types on Coventry. It will also have a merchants’ sidewalk sale, an art and vendors market, and live local music by School of Rock. And there’ll be family-oriented activities including the requisite face painting, airbrush tattoos, circus performers, bubble games and the Heights Library book bike.

It’s free, of course. Get more information here.
