The Middle Bass Island Music Festival isn’t one of those crazy crowed, moshpit-by-the-stage type events but rather a relaxed afternoon on the island not known for crowds of drunken partiers. It’s a laidback, family-friendly event featuring four local bands whose sounds go well with sunshine and lake breezes.
They include Cleveland’s Cats on Holiday playing their lively swamp rock; Columbus-based reggae band, the Ark Band, who frequently come up north; The Good The Bad and The Blues out of Toledo whose music blends blues, R&B, gospel and funk; and the classic rock/Motown cover band the North Coast Goats.
In addition, there will be artist tents to browse with demonstrations taking place. And Lonz Brewery will be serving up the wine. Lake Erie Islands Conservancy will be selling merch to raise money for their work preserving the natural lands on the islands.
