Thu 8/3 @ 5:30-10PM
We’re not quite certain what is going to happen when artist Joshua Challen Ice and his team of engineers and artists lead a DIY building session to team-create a public piece of art that “may” be exhibited at the Ingenuity Cleveland festival in September. We’re told the session will involve exploring the “limitations of materials” and that “participants will be challenged to think in terms of organic design while transforming inorganic building materials in the process.”
The session starts at the Sculpture Center from 5:30-6:30pm with an artist talk, tour, refreshments and snacks. Then the group moves down to Ingenuity’s space at the Hamilton Collaborative to get down to work from 7-10pm. “Be prepared to get messy and dress accordingly,” we’re told. Register to attend here. It’s free. Tools, supplies and materials will be provided.
