Ingenuity’s Ignite! Neighbor Nights Are Back at a New Location

Thu 4/20 @ 5-8PM

The Ingenuity festival doesn’t just host big spectacular events. It also hosts small, participatory ones, such as its series of monthly Ignite! Neighbor Nights, intended as outreach to the community surrounding its home at the Hamilton Collaborative of East 55th and St. Clair.

The new series, starting this month, has a new location at the newly renovated community green space St. Clair Plaza, at East 64th and St. Clair. There’s plenty of room to spread out and host activities such as art and crafts workshops, music, outdoor games, dancing, public art creation and more. The ignite! Neighbor Nights, which happen on the third Thursday from Aril through August, also offer resources from community organization and nonprofits and conversations about what’s going down in the neighborhood. This month’s theme is “Sweet Streets — Placemaking and Public Art.” So expect the event to go heavy on communal creation to beautify outdoor spaces.

It’s a great place to bring the kids. It’s free and all are welcome!
