Cleveland Cat Show at I-X Center Is a Feline-Lovers Paradise

Please or don’t please, we are Siamese!

Sat 1/21 @ 9AM-5PM

Sun 1/22 @ 9AM-4PM

Attention, cat lovers! Paradise on earth is coming to the I-X Center: the two-day Cleveland FUN Cat Show, hosted by the Cleveland Persian Society.

There will be all sorts of purebreds — nearly three dozen types — competing for ribbons in four judging rings, with judging going on all day post days. But these days, cat shows offer more than just elegant, high-maintenance Persians: they’re a celebration of cats of all kinds.

The family-friendly event offers a variety of activities including “Pet Me Cats” you can actually touch; a cat costume contest both days featuring cats entered in the show; free cat coloring books for the first 100 kids each day; and a “Meow Mall” selling both pet and non-pet-related items.

Most of the cat breeders are happy to talk about their cats and the breed’s assets. Some will even show you the cats or let you pet them (Always ask first!) If you become enamored of a breed, some may even have kittens or adult cats available for sale. And if you don’t require a special breed, there will be cat rescues on site with adoptable “mutt” cats who are just looking for a home they can enhance with their affection, charm and cuteness.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $9 for senior and kids 5-12 and $25 for a family. You can get them in advance here or buy them at the door.
