Whiff

Breathe it all in.

As CoolCleveland marks our 20th anniversary, Ingenuity launches its 18th edition and is now known as Expo:Ingenuity. When James Levin and I (and a massively talented team) kicked off the inaugural event in 2005, we envisioned a fluid format and identity. It’s back at the Hamilton Collaborative for three full days of experimentation and surprises, with room to breathe. And the People’s Art Show is back at CSU, while the Pitties and Kitties fundraiser supports Tails From the City and Muttley Crue Rescue CLE to help pups and cats. All three events are highly recommended.

And get a whiff of this. Gerrymandering in Ohio is among the worst in the country, so maybe tune in to the Zoom this week with local election experts, or join Mayor Bibb on another Zoom designed to increase voter turnout. Physicians For Choice discuss the threats to women & doctors in a post-Roe Ohio, while we continue with a VIDEO ENDORSEMENT of Nickie Antonio for State Senator, with an exclusive video interview, and our hearty endorsement.

And please read Anastasia Pantsios’ COMMENTARY on the critically important Ohio Supreme Court Justice race, where an historic slate of three women is running to take back the majority on the court, led by Jennifer Brunner running for Chief Justice, against the very judges who voted against fair districts and approved constitutionally banned gerrymandering. Think about it: up for grabs is Ohio Governor (think Nan Whaley), the open Ohio Senate seat (Tim Ryan is leading in most polls), and the three Supreme Court seats. We’re so close to bringing justice back to Ohio, you can almost smell it.
