Tri-C JazzFest Will Be Back at Playhouse Square in June

Thu 6/23-Sat 6/25

When Tri-C JazzFest consolidated its annual event at Playhouse Square, magic things happened. With ticketed shows inside its various sized theaters, plus a free outdoor stage with local acts of all kinds, vendors, food stalls, a beer garden and hands-on art opportunities, it became a true festival for all ages, with dancing in the street right on Euclid Avenue.

As with almost every event, 2020 saw the cancellation of the festival, and last year, again as with many events, it came back in a different time and space, moving to September at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights, and reformatting to fit that space.

Now Tri-C JazzFest has some good news; it’s returning to Playhouse Square for its 43rd festival, in its usual early summer time slot Thursday June 23-Saturday June 25

“This is like a homecoming,” says festival director Terri Pontremoli in a press release. “We’re grateful to be working with our partners at Playhouse Square and looking forward to firing up Euclid Avenue again with music, food and dancing. Summer in downtown Cleveland officially begins with JazzFest.”

The festival will be announcing its lineup of world-class jazz artists in March with festival passes going on sale the same day. Individual concert tickets will go on sale in April.
