If you had to leave home in a hurry, what would you take with you? What objects have the most meaning in your life?
Survivors of genocide, trauma and holocausts have fced this question, and the precious objects, photos, toys and letters they kept with them as they escaped form the basis for this thought-provoking exhibition at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, Stories of Survival: Object, Image, Memory.
CoolCleveland’s Thomas Mulready spoke with curator Arielle Weininger about the genesis of the exhibition, how audiences are reacting, and some of the pieces that touched her the most. View the video here.
